Interstate Freeway 8 is relocated about 300 feet further north of Presidio Hill. It is raised high on piers. This allows more sunlight and wetlands for interpretation of Kosa'aay and the San Diego River. A direct off ramp for I-8 West to Pacific Hwy south is provided. The I-5 north to I-8 east connector is rebuilt 2 lanes wide and over the PacHwy-Morena grade separation. The I-8 west to I-5 north connector is also widened. Morena south to I-8 west connector is removed. This move works on the new city streets.
