The concept for Major Connector Streets is to relocate them outside of Old Town. Pacific Hwy is connected to Morena Blvd by a new 6-8 lane PacHwy-Morena bridge. Hotel Circle is connected to the new bridge. Through traffic is sped up by avoiding the four signals & RR-Xing in Old Town. A grade separation is created by taking Pacific Hwy over the tracks and under the burmed freeway. All local access is preserved but through traffic does not impact Kosa'aay. Pacific Hwy going north has direct access to I-8 east and also avoids the Old Town traffic problems. PacHwy-Morena has access to Friars Road east. To provide southerly travel for Pacific Hwy north of the river Friars Road is connected to it and PacHwy-Morena.
